Mark Dowe, born in Germany, based in Amsterdam,
is a free-lance Yoga & Dance teacher and Masseur.
Mark graduated a 500h Teacher Training for Vinyasa Yoga at Svaha Yoga, Amsterdam, a 200h Teacher Training at the Sivananda Yoga Centre in France, and just finished succesfuly his 200h (RYA) Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Amsterdam.
He is constantly following workshops, teacher-trainings, intensives and retreats about Yoga and Meditation with renowned teachers in Europe and India; to deepen his own practice and to extend his understanding of the human body.
He practiced and teaches several different Yoga styles, simply with the understanding that at the end there is only ONE Yoga, as there is only ONE body but many different ways to work with it. He searches for the perfect approach for each of his students, so his classes are playful, powerful and individual, always with a great sense of humor.
Don’t forget, it’s a joyous practice.
In more general terms he teaches Vinyasa Yoga, Power Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and meditation & mindfulness.
Mark worked after his training at the codarts Academy for Music and Dance in Rotterdam, continuously for 15 years in various Musicals, Galas, Films, Operas and TV-Shows both in Ensemble and as a Soloist, as well as contemporary Choreographies and Performances in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy and Austria.
He is a guest teacher in the “Dance pedagogue education” at the Präha Bildungszentrum Weber Schule, Düsseldorf, where he is also part of the board of examiners. He taught at the codarts academy, Rotterdam Yoga and body conditioning classes to the performing department as well as the pre-educational classes. He was also a guest teacher for Jazz Dance at the Royal Dance Conservatorium in Den Haag. For the last two years he collaborated with JULIDANS, the annual contemporary dance festival in Amsterdam, in his capacity as a Yoga teacher for both participating dancers and choreographers.
Mark is also a certified trainer for orthopedic spine health (KddR Certificate, Germany) and a Blackroll-Fascia-Trainer.
He received his training as Thai-Masseur at ITM, Amsterdam just to offer another tool to enhance ones physical development as well as ones recovery.
